NBC Cancels ‘Undercovers’

NBC has effectively canceled JJ Abrams’ freshman drama Undercovers and will not pick up any additional episodes. The show will still air on November 10, November 17 and December 1. That takes it through 10 episodes but no dates for what will be the final three episodes have been scheduled yet.

I sincerely hope that execs don't use this as an excuse to avoid shows with POC leads.
I'm terrified they will, though.

I've never understood the practice of canceling a show that's very obviously finding its audience (especially in NBC's case, a target audience they've been ignoring for pretty damn long). I'd have expected that with produce backing like Abram's, they'd have waited to see what direction he was taking them in. I just don't...argh.

Aargh! I am so peeved by this. Our adorable, capery, gleeful, fun show. What do Leverage and Chuck have that Undercovers doesn't? FFS give the white guy Gerald McRaney or Carter McIntyre top billing and uncancel it.
